The Arewa Women for Tinubu is a pan Northern Nigeria collective of grassroot political women from all the Nineteen (19) Northern States that have been working tirelessly in promoting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu among our contemporaries in the North and in extension Nigeria. The Group also seeks, advocate for women inclusiveness in governance and support all developmental endeavors that enhance women participation in politics.

The Arewa Women for Tinubu (AWT) is the cauldron of politically minded activists drawn from the Trade and Labour Organizations, Youth Organization, Market Women Associations, Community - Based Associations, Faith Based Associations, Issue - Based Organizations, Socio-Cultural Organizations as well as individual Women Political Leaders, Opinion Leaders, Mobilisers and Women Activists.

AWT is vast Women Support Group. We represent the women, from all the Nineteen (19) states across Northern part of our great Country Nigeria. From the North-Eastern States of Adamawa, Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe and Taraba; to the North-West Region comprising Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara and to the North Central States of Benue, Kogi, Nassarawa, Plateau, Niger, Kwara and the Federal Capital Territory – Arewa Women For Tinubu is rooted. It is operating effectively in the aforementioned geographical zones and states.

Tinubu/Shettima for Progessive Change

Given the history of the monumental problems and challenges confronting the Nigerian Woman, especially the Arewa Woman, is better imagined. The Arewa Woman has decided to align with the Candidature of Tinubu/Shettima.

Both the Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates gave issues regarding women utmost attention. We are solely behind this ticket, we would continue to rally all other Women to support Tinubu/Shettima and APC in the forthcoming 2023 Elections. Some of the burning issues that are of great concern to the Arewa Woman are as follows, and We believe that the duo of Tinubu/Shettima (BATTIMA) have got what it takes to tackle this challenges head on.

With a great pleasure, i will like to appreciate the organizers as well as the convener of over 200 All Progress Congress Support.

Again, Borno State Arewa Women for Tinubu/Kashim show off at the All Progressive Congress (APC) Women Presidential Campaign take off.

On Saturday, the formidable group of the Arewa Women for Tinubu/Kashim have graciously participated at the flagged off of 2023 presidential campaign for North-east zone.
The Forum was massively participated from across the state alongside the leadership of the Forum emanated from the state, LGAs among others.
The State Coordinator, Hon. Hauwa Zakkariya izge led the team. Some state executives attended include State Secretary, Comr. Baba Lawan Mohammed; State Youth Leader, Ibrahim Moh'd Lawan, State Financial Secretary, Organizing Secretary among others.

The leadership of AWT paid a courtesy visit to Zamfara State Government, received by the Deputy Governor of the state His Excellency Sen Hassan Nasiha.
The National President was accompanied by some neighboring states coordinators (Kebbi and Kaduna), were they met the government officials ahead of the 2023 election. The Familiarization visit was in line with mission and vision of the movement looking at the huge contribution and percentage of vote women gives during elections.
From the government site the Deputy Governor remark begins by welcome the leadership of AWT and pledged to support and work with Arewa Women for Tinubu-Shattima-Matawalle political and assured inclusion of women in the state affairs.

Directorate of Grassroots Engagement and Orientation of Presidential Campaign Council in Collaboration with Arewa Women for Tinubu Held a Voters Orientation, Sensitization, Engagement and Receiving of 500 Decampees
The above Directorate today hold a voters engagement in my local government (Kaduna South LGA).
The Program which is first of it's kind in the local government and the state gathered thousands of APC Members/Supporters acroos the LGA together as well as 500 Decampees across the 13 political wards of Kaduna South.
The event was to ensure the populace of Kaduna south were educated on the new system of the election and also to Engagement them to vote for Tinubu, Uba Sani and all APC candidates in order to enjoying more dividends of democracy.

The National leadership, Jigawa State Chapter and local Gov't Unit of Arewa Women for Tinubu and Umar Danmodi in Jigawa State pays a courtesy call to Jigawa State Deputy Governor and also Governotorial candidate of APC His Excellency Mal. Umar Namadi Danmodi. Crucial issues has been discussed in the meeting among which the national executive led by the National President Haj. Sa'adatu Garba Dogon Bauchi extend their gratitude towards the way His Excellency recognised and welcome us.
The Jigawa State Coordinator welcomed every body to the event and call to more engagement on youth and women in government, she said campaigning for APC is a clarion call to every body.
In his speech, the national Secretary Rt. Hon. Abu Sarki appreciates Jigawa State Gov't for recognising the activities of Arewa Women for Tinubu across Jigawa State, He added with seeking permission from His Excellency to carry on with the official handing over of the state chapter to the State Gov't especially under His custody (His Excellency Mal. In his response, the deputy Governor H E Mal. Umar Namadi said He is over whelmed with the visit and was always in appreciation of the campaign activities of Arewa Women for Tinubu/Danmodi in Jigawa state, He especially recognised the movement of the state Coordinator Haj. Fatima Musa Auyo. She is diligently working day and night to see the victory of APC in Jigawa state according to Him. He touched and advise the group to turn in their activities to polling units at this material time and further extension of the activities in men and youth. He finally accepted officially the state chapter of Arewa Women for Tinubu/Danmodi that was earlier given to him.

The Inauguration of Zamfara State Chapter of Arewa Women for Tinubu-Shettima and Matawalle took place on 26 Jan,2023 at Jibril Bala (JB) Secretary Gusau Zamfara, where the National Executives of Arewa Women for Tinubu under the leadership of Haj Sa'adatu DogonBauchi and Abu Sarki (National President and National Secretary) inaugurated all the state and local government executives of Zamfara State.
The Opening Speech was given by the Workaholic state Coordinator Haj Maryam Yahaya (Kyauta Black), her Speech was based on the giant effort, progress, development and her achievement since assumption as the State Coordinator. She have gone round the State mobilizing and campaigning for Tinubu and Matawalle all is to ensure APC victory.
While the National Executives express their appreciation for the support given to the movement by the state government and appeal for full support and Commitment of the state government to the movement.
The Zamfara State Governor who was unavoidable absent was represented by his deputy His Excellency Mal Hassan Nasiha in his Remark apologize on behalf of the state governor for his absence despite the fact he made intentions to be part of the occasion and i can assured you that the state government would continue to support any movement that will contribute to the success of the All Progress Congress (APC). VOTERS ENGAGEMENT/SENSITISATION TOWARDS THE FORTHCOMING FEBRUARY PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
The Directorate of Grassroots Engagement and Orientation in Collaboration with Arewa Women for Tinubu conduct voters Education and Engagement.
The campaign was planned and organized by the National President AWT Haj Sa'adatu DogonBauchi who is also the Director Grassroots Engagement and Orientation North West Zone, where she engaged women across 55 polling units of Tudun Wada South and gave 300 wrappers to 300 women from each polling unit as token of appreciation for the support and Commitment shows to all APC Candidates.
The campaign would go round the 13 political wards of Kaduna South.

The North Zonal Director Grassroots Engagement and Orientation Haj. Sa'adatu DogonBauchi who is also the National President Arewa Women for Tinubu-Shettima conducted a voters Sensitization Campaign in Sokoto state.
During the campaign, thousands of eligible men and women were engaged in order to canvas support for Asiwaju-Shettima and all APC Candidates in the state. In my Speech i urged all eligible voters to support our principals and i assured them with Asiwaju-Shattima their expectations in good governance would be fulfilled.
During the visit i promised to give away 5000 wrappers to Sokoto State women which would be shared them, using the existing structure of Arewa Women for Tinubu-Shettima Sokoto State chapter.

Borno: Arewa Women for Tinubu/Kashim & Zulum Inaugurates State, LG Excos'
On Thursday 16th February, 2023 The Borno State Arewa Women for Tinubu/Kashim in collaboration with National council of the support group, has formally Inaugurated a 23-member state Executives and LG Coordinators' ahead of February 25th Presidential election; to rewire, rekindle and mobilizes grassroots to votes APC.
The new executives were inaugurated following their nomination that saw the emergence as Hon. Hauwa Zakkariya Izge, as the state Coordinator.
The event was attended by members from across 27-LGAs, prominent party leaders in the state, National leaders, women, youth, representatives of the Arewa Women For Tinubu/Kashim in some state, among other dignitaries.
In her welcome speech, the state coordinator, Hon. Hauwa, said women under the orientation of our National President, Hon. Saadatu Garba Daogonbauchi, are ever ready to take messages of "renew hope" to grassroots and ensure APC, got 100% votes of Arewa Women for Tinubu/Kashim.
Accordingly, the State Party women leader, Haj. Kakenna Monguno, said, the programme was a best ever in Borno State with over 1000 decent women and youth participated which drew her attention to declare Arewa Women for Tinubu/Kashim & Zulum as best in Borno State. She thanked members, and the National Coordinator, Hon. Saadatu Garba Daogonbauchi for coordinating women in her state toward supporting our son, sen. Kashim, she said.
Hon. Zuwaira Gambo, added that AWT set track record by improvement in relation between the Forum and the APC women at grassroots levels. "They go to where most leaders cannot go and mobilizes for the success of the party".
More so, In their separate remarks, the State Party Chairman, Hon. Dalori, urged Arewa Women to continue strengthening on their good movement n ensure all women vote for APC. Thanked National President for wonderful gestures.
Others speakers, are Hon. Tahir Monguno, Hon. Kadiri Rahis among other dignitaries alongside their pledges to support the Forum which they described it as Best in the state.
Therefore, the National President, in her vote of thanks, expressed happiness for the turn-out of members despite challenges. She assured of her continues support in all aspects toward victory of Asiwaju/Sen. Kashim and Zulum.

The Borno State Chapter of Arewa Women for Tinubu-Shettima and Zulum was Inaugurated today by the National President Haj. Sa'adatu DogonBauchi, she was accompanied by National Executives, Kaduna State Coordinator and some neighboring Borno states executives.
The event was graced by the State Party Chairman, State Women leader of All Progress Congress (APC) Senatorial, and House of Representatives Candidates.
WELCOME ADDRESS:
The Borno State Coordinator Haj Hauwa Izge gave the welcome address who thanks the state government, state Party Executives for the immense contribution given to the movement since inception, she also appreciates the teaming members who had patiently supported the movement whenever the need arises, morally and financially they supported me. While The national leadership of AWT through them advises, support and commitment we are able to gathered here today and conduct the inauguration of my executives, i said thank you all.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was born on 29 March 1952 in Osun State. His mother, Hajia Abibatu Mogaji, was a trader that later became the Iyaloja of Lagos

His Education?

He attended St. John's Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos and Children's Home School in Ibadan. He proceeded to the United States in 1975. He gained admission into Richard J. Daley College in Chicago, Illinois. Thereafter he went to Chicago State University and graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.

His Early Career?

Tinubu worked for the American companies such as Arthur Andersen, Deloitte, Haskins, & Sells, and GTE Services Corporation, after returning to Nigeria in 1983, Bola Tinubu joined Mobil Oil Nigeria, and later became an executive of the Company

His Early Political Career

Tinubu’s political career began in 1992, when he joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP)and got elected into the Senate, representing the Lagos West Constituency in the short-lived Nigerian Third Republic.

After the results of the 12 June 1993 Presidential Elections were annulled, Tinubu became a founding member of the Prodemocracy National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), a group which mobilized support for the restoration of democracy and recognition of Moshood Abiola as winner of the 12 June election.After the military took over power in 1993, he went into exile in 1994 and returned in 1998 following the death of General Sani Abacha,the then Head of State.

In the run-up to the 1999 elections, Bola Tinubu was a protégé of Alliance for Democracy (AD) leaders Abraham Adesanya and Ayo Adebanjo. He was elected the Executive Governor of Lagos State on the platform of Alliance For Democracy (AD).

As Governor of Lagos

Tinubu assumed office in May 1999, he built mass housing units for the poor. During the eight-year period of his tenure, he made large investments in education. He also constructed new roads required to meet the needs of the fast-growing population of the State.

Tinubu, was re-elected into office as governor in April 2003. His reflection was seen as a great political feat as all other States in the South West fell to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) controlled Federal Government.

Tinubu has been widely perceived as the "Godfather of Lagos", leveraging his political capital in the mega city-state to influence regional and national affairs.

Tinubu was active in negotiations to bring together the fragmented opposition parties into a "mega-party" capable of challenging the PDP. In February 2013. The negotiations in creating a "mega opposition" party became paid off with the merger of Nigeria's three biggest opposition parties – the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), a faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the new PDP (nPDP), a faction of serving governors of the then ruling People's Democratic Party – into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In 2015, Tinubu supported General Muhammadu Buhari, who won the Presidential election. He also played a major role in nominating the Vice President Professor Pastor Yemi Osibanjo, his ally and former Commissioner of Justice.

Tinubu has gone on to play an important role in the Buhari administration, supporting government policies and holding onto the internal party reins. He also supported Buhari's reelection in 2019.
